Peter Burton

Peter has an entrepreneurial background, a founder of two companies, one in IT and the other in commercial radio broadcasting, both of which he took public. He served as a non-executive director in public and private companies before becoming an independent consultant and executive coach, having obtained postgraduate qualifications in Organisational Behaviour, Coaching and Performance Management, and Coaching Psychology.

Peter helps his clients recruit and retain people (to quote Goffee and Jones of LBS) ‘who create disproportionate amounts of value from the resources that the organisation makes available to them’. He evolved an essential leadership style for this purpose while serving as CEO and Chairman in his two start-up companies, both of which were heavily dependent on creativity and innovation.

Peter has completed the Owner-President Management Program of Harvard Business School, and obtained a certificate in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London. He is a fellow of the RSA.
